After qualifying from Liverpool University in 1982, Paul initially worked in Biddulph and Alsager. He joined our practice as an associate dentist in 1983, when we were known as West Park Dental Practice, and became Principal Dentist in 1990. He loves interacting with his patients and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. He has a special interest in minimally invasive, cosmetic restorations. In his spare time Paul can be found mountain biking around the beautiful Cheshire and Peak District area, rock climbing, mountaineering, walking and skiing. He still finds time to socialise with friends and family and sample various gins from his son’s distillery.
Emma Smith
Registered Dental Hygienist

Emma has worked at the practice since she qualified from Manchester Dental Hospital in 1997.
When Emma is not hard at work keeping teeth and gums in great condition, she enjoys making the most of the great outdoors with Paul. They regularly take advantage of their proximity to the beautiful Peak District, where they enjoy mountain biking, walking and climbing, either as a couple or in the company of friends and family. As well as this Emma is taking up Salsa dancing so watch out if she starts practising her ‘Dile Que No’ with you.

Clare Hornby

Clare has been working in general dentistry for over 24 years, the last 10 of which were at a practice in Cheadle. Clare has interests in areas of cosmetic dentistry, such as clear aligners, whitening, and composite bonding. She really enjoys the variety of general practice.
Clare’s main passion is getting to know patients and building long-standing relationships with them and their families.
Outside of work, Clare and her family all play hockey for a local club and also enjoy weekends in Wales or the Lake District in their old VW campervan!

Jacqui Cope
Lead Dental Nurse

Jacqui qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1986 and has 35 years of experience. She loves the outdoors, kayaking, cycling, hill-walking in the Lakes and is partial to a bit of Grasmere Gingerbread! She is a fantastic baker, and treated us all to mince pies at Christmas. In her spare time (what’s left of it) she can be found hauling bricks for her partner’s business. So I wouldn’t mess with her…Paul!
Claire Hodgkinson

Qualified in Liverpool in 2010
Claire joined the practice in May 2019 and works every Monday. Claire enjoys dental hygiene and being part of our valued team. Claire spends her time raising her young family, so does not get very much free time!
Jenni Kelly
Dental Nurse

Jenni qualified as a dental nurse in 2005, giving her 19 years of experience.
Having spent this time working in Orthodontics, she is excited to take on a new challenge.
She is a busy mum to two young boys, which keeps her on her toes! When she’s not out playing football or bike riding with them, she’s helping her husband to cook up some BBQ on their smoker.
Pip Smith
Lead Dental Receptionist
Pip joins us as Lead Receptionist and has over 20 years of experience as a Dental Nurse and Receptionist! We hope she will be very happy in her role and enjoy working with us!
